The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) and the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) are inviting comments on jointly developed draft Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Guidelines.
These guidelines were developed to consider the risks associated with the use of RPAS on offshore facilities in the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Areas. Transport Canada (TC) has Regulations and Guidance to govern the operation of RPAS activities (private and commercial) in Canada but they do not include the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Areas.
The two Boards are currently seeking comments on the draft Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Guidelines. The deadline for comments is July 8, 2021
Comments on these guidelines may be submitted via email to info@cnsopb.ns.ca. Upon receipt, all submissions will be shared between the two Boards.
If you have any questions regarding this consultation, please contact the CNSOPB’s Chief Safety Officer at info@cnsopb.ns.ca or 902-422-5588.
